neuropsychological evaluations

We provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for a range of cognitive concerns in adults. Findings help clarify potential underlying causes, identify reversible or modifiable contributing factors, and inform individualized treatment and management recommendations, including both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.

PREVENTATIVE BRAIN HEALTH EVALUATIONs

Preventative brain health evaluations are designed for individuals interested in understanding their current cognitive functioning and identifying opportunities to reduce future risk of cognitive decline and dementia. Findings provide an overview of individual risk and resilience factors, along with personalized, evidence-based recommendations to support long-term brain health.

brain health support

Brain health follow-up appointments are available to interested patients and families and provide individualized support to promote cognitive health and overall well-being. Services may include brain health education, lifestyle modification support, sleep interventions, medication management consultation, caregiver support, and brief psychotherapy, depending on individual needs.

What to Expect

All neuropsychological evaluations include a review of relevant medical records, a clinical interview, cognitive testing, a feedback appointment, and a comprehensive written report. Reports are generally available within two weeks of the completed evaluation.

Clinical Interview: The initial interview typically lasts about one hour. When possible, patients are encouraged to include a family member or caregiver who can provide additional background information. Cognitive testing may take place on the same day as the interview or be scheduled for a separate appointment.

Cognitive Testing: Testing generally takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the referral question and individual needs.

Feedback Appointment: Feedback appointments are typically scheduled one to two weeks after testing and include a review of evaluation findings, diagnostic impressions, and individualized recommendations.

Written Report: A comprehensive written report is typically available shortly after the feedback appointment.

All appointments are conducted via telehealth. Patients must have access to a reliable internet connection and a device with video and audio capabilities.
